Slika_2_1.jpg As part of the regional project “Implementing Good governance Principles in Public-Private Partnership Projects (GO PPP)” the second meeting of the Regional Public-Private Partnership Initiative was held on 5 June 2025 in Skopje. The event brought together key PPP stakeholders from Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Albania - primarily representatives of relevant ministries and state bodies responsible for planning and implementing infrastructure and development investments through public-private partnership models.

This meeting marked the continuation of joint efforts to strengthen regional cooperation in the field of PPP by harmonizing approaches, sharing experiences, and building institutional capacities for implementing good governance principles - including transparency, accountability, efficiency, and participation.

Participants discussed the project’s progress to date, identified challenges in applying PPP models at both national and local levels, and exchanged best practice examples. Particular focus was placed on institutional reforms, improving the regulatory framework, and establishing monitoring and evaluation mechanisms for PPP projects in line with European standards.

The meeting also served as a platform to agree on next steps within the Initiative, including the development of joint recommendations and the organization of thematic workshops in each participating country.

The project is funded through the regional SMART Balkans program and implemented by the Institute for Territorial Economic Development (InTER), in partnership with the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development (IPER) from Montenegro, the Albanian Center for Economic Research (ACER) from Albania, and the Forum for Reasonable Policies from North Macedonia.
